The Background Behind the Original Charleston BedSwing

The idea for the Original Charleston BedSwing was thought of 25 years ago. We both had stressful jobs and needed an avenue for relaxation. We spent a lot of time on our porch and wanted to be more comfortable there. Thus, the idea for the bedswing was born. Preston designed and built the first bedswing in his shop. Over the years our original design has evolved. Our enjoyment of the bedswing has changed through our life stages. We began with late nights as talking newlyweds, progressed to rocking our babies to sleep, heart to heart talks with our teenagers and back to the two of us as empty nesters.

Our bedswing has always been the place of choice for family and friends. Once people sat on our bed swing, they had to have one! Preston starting building more and we began selling. We have always been a “mom and pop” operation. Recently, one of our bedswings was featured in a well-known magazine, causing increased interest from all over the country. After seeing how much our customers loved the bedswing, we decided to take it to the next level. We met Kealy, who instantly fell in love with our product and wanted to be involved. With her background in sales and interior design, we knew it would be a good fit.

We are happy to offer our customers a new and improved bedswing. With more choices than before, we feel the bedswing is not just for your porch, but wonderful for inside use as well.
